So, when that second tier of flowers are fully open and the third tier when those buds are full and about to open, that's when youwant to harvest. Seed should be sown once the weather warms up, or indoors. But, if you're selling to a premium florist market, you might want to not pinch it so you can get that full long stem. You can't quite tell, but at the other end there's a boom sprayer that's irrigating at just the moment that plug starts to dry out. BH: Yeah, that can be with a hose. But on the right, you'll see all those labels on the trays. If anything, pinch that flower out or go pinch. So, they already take 12 weeks to grow under perfect conditions. At the end of the day, they're all the same plant. You will see some, if you ever have a flower, that pops its head off, that's because it probably didn't have uniform watering in its life. So, group 1s I would get those planted, you know, early very early in the season. Our LP32 plugs are 4.00" deep by 2.22" square and come 32 per to a standard nursery liner. Ive got my UK blue on. BH: Yes. There is an entire industry devoted to coating seeds with various materials to make them easier to handle, and Lisianthus is a prime candidate for such treatment. Something that's labeled for, you know, drenching the soil. So generally you see one flower open and then maybe 10 days later you'll see four flowers open. Down to 20 is OK as long as they are in the ground. They're really prone to getting rootbound, so go on and put them in a bigger tray. I recommend using 2 layers of support netting with Lisianthus. My only tip would be if you're going to pinch, you can plant them a little further apart, because when thatplant branches out from the base, you're going to get four or five stems coming up rather than the one, so you want to give it a little more room so they don't become too congested. Vase life is very good in plain water as well. We will never bill your card without permission (in fact we can't, and don't have access to it) but you may be invoiced if shipping rates change. Lisianthus will not flower in the plug tray like some plants will, it must reach a certain stage of maturity before buds will form. . FD: So, we havea couple more questions. But again, just wanted to say thank you so much for being with us tonight. There will likely be a series of buds held just above these open flowers. It kind of shrinks back around it and I really maybe only had to weed once per season, and that was only every five feet would I find a single weed.
